About
The Frank Watson Memorial Scholarship was established in 2023 in honor of Frank Junior Watson. Frank Watson was born in Little Rock, AR in 1983. He graduated from Monticello High School in Monticello, AR in 2001 with honors. During his time at Monticello High School, Frank was involved in many extracurricular activities including, but not limited to, band, tennis, madrigals, and Beta Club.
Frank Watson went on to graduate from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Later, he moved to New York City, New York where he graduated from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Frank passed away on November 22, 2022 in Harlem, New York.
Frank Watson was known for his big heart, kind spirit, beautiful voice, and uplifting personality. He always tried his best in anything he set his mind to, and he was a believer in the power of education. The Vincent Foundation seeks to carry on Frank’s legacy by awarding the Frank Watson Memorial Scholarship to Monticello High School graduates seeking to further their education.
Eligibility
Applicants to the Frank Watson Memorial Scholarship must be a graduate of Monticello High School in the year that the scholarship is awarded. Applicants must be accepted to and planning to attend an accredited trade school, 2-year college, or 4- year college/university. Awards will be determined by the applicant’s essay, resume, and application. Special consideration will be made for students involved in extracurricular activities, students choosing to attend U of A – Fayetteville, and students majoring in business or drama. Award
The scholarship amount is $1,000. Awards will be distributed via check at the annual Monticello High School Senior Awards Banquet. Multiple scholarships may be awarded if funds allow.

The application deadline for the Frank Watson Memorial Scholarship is March 29, 2024 at 11:59 PM.
